13 whole years of cat love is a long time. A cat's lifetime, in fact. Time-wise, it could be like adopting a kitten and seeing them grow through adulthood, and even reach a respectable senior age.
But this one cat lives even longer. He was adopted by his family before meeting his “second human”, and is still alive and strong, going with them on their next adventure. It is sad, though, that his other human, who loved and cared for him as well, will probably not be part of this next step in the cat's long life.
But yes, 13 years of cat love are a lot. We're sure this person is as sad as someone who has lost their cat after all this time, but at least here - he can be sure the cat is alive and well. We're sure he still has a lot of good years ahead of him.

If there's one person who's deserving of a CDS intervention - it's this guy.
This is a person who helped care for a cat, who apparently needed more than one family to love him. That's a hard designation by the CDS. But it's very clear this person is ready for a full-time delivery from the Cat Distribution System. His heart is so ready to love a cat, and now there's a physical space for that to happen. And when these conditions are met - the CDS always takes note. We hope they'll get their match soon - another cat in need, but also another human in need of a cat.
But no one can be sure of when it'll happen. The CDS works in mysterious ways, and in its own timing. When will another cat appear for this person to adopt? No one knows. But we can feel it'll happen.
